FAQs

  • It absolutely is. Chiropractic adjustments for pediatric patients look a lot different than an adult or even an adolescent. During an adjustment the doctor uses about the same pressure you would to check the ripeness of an avocado. It is very gentle and specific, so gentle in fact that babies often fall asleep during their first adjustment! If you are interested in doing further research on chiropractic and infants/children please check out the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Both our doctors are certified through the ICPA to adjust pediatric patients.

  • Yes. It is not only safe to get adjusted while pregnant but also very beneficial. Both our doctors are certified in the Webster Technique, through the ICPA. This is a specific adjusting technique for pregnant patients. It not only addresses the spine, but muscles and ligaments as well. Getting adjusted during pregnancy is correlated with decreased labor and delivery times, more optimal fetal positioning, and increased comfort for both mom and baby.

  • Chiropractic focuses on the function of the nervous system. Often times people struggle with symptoms such as Sciatica, neck pain, headaches, low back pain, insomnia, etc. Chiropractic helps address the root cause of these symptoms by assessing the spine, which protects the nervous system. Your nervous system is the master control center of the body, coordinating everything from breathing to running marathons. By reducing stress or pressure on the nervous system, it allows the brain and body to communicate and function with ease.
